What is this course about?
If you are looking to progress into a career in design and surveying in construction, this new course will give you a broad set of core competences, as well as specialist learning, to help you succeed in the construction sector.
You will study core units in Science and Building Technology and the Construction Industry and Sustainability, which will be assessed by external examination.
How will be assessed?
Occupational specialist content will be mainly assessed through externally set project work, designed to simulate real industry construction project scenarios. During your T Level journey, you will complete a 45 day industry placement linked to your specialist field alongside your core and specialist learning in college. This is to ensure that students have real experience of the workplace and must be completed to achieve the overall qualification.
Entry Requirements:
Five or more GCSEs at Grade 9 – 4, including a Grade 4 in English Language, Grade 5 in Maths and a Grade 4 in Science.
