Congratulations to the Class of 2023 at Cronton Sixth Form College!

Students and staff at Cronton Sixth Form College are celebrating outstanding A Level and Level 3 Vocational results today.
The students at Cronton have once again achieved exceptional results, with many going on to prestigious universities, competitive degrees, and degree Apprenticeships.
The atmosphere was one of excitement and celebration as students shared their success and confirmed their future destinations, with the following results:
- 99% Level 3 Pass Rate
- 100% Pass Rate in 29 A Level Subjects
- 100% Pass Rate in 22 Vocational Subjects
Mary Murphy, College Principal said, “We are incredibly proud of all that our students have achieved. Their results are testament not only to the hard work and dedication of both students and staff at the College; but the incredible resilience they have shown in overcoming the challenges the last few years have presented. We wish them all the very best of luck as they progress on to their future education and careers.”
The Class of 2023 is celebrating incredible results with a focus on STEM subjects within the Centre of Excellence in STEM. An outstanding 63% of students achieved an A*/A in Further Maths.
A Level student Hannah Palmer achieved an A in Further Maths, an A* in Maths and an A* in Psychology and is now looking forward to studying Maths at Durham University. She said, ‘I am very pleased with my results. The best part about the last two years at Cronton was the teachers’ support. I really enjoyed taking part in the extra programmes at College, including the Student Leadership Team, Women in Stem and the Tomorrow’s Teachers programme”.
30% of A Level Physics students also gained an A*/A grade, including previous Wade Deacon student Harry Baldwin, who achieved A* in Physics, A* in Maths and A in Chemistry. Harry took part in the Tomorrow’s Scientist Programme during his time at Cronton, where he also gained a Crest Award for his research project. He said, “I am delighted with my results, the best thing about my last two years at college was the teachers, especially in Physics”. He is now looking forward to studying Physics at The University of Manchester.
26% of Biology students also achieved an A*/A grade, including STEM Scholar Caitlyn Foster, who achieved Biology A, Chemistry A and Maths A and is progressing to Brighton and Sussex Medical School to study Medicine. Caitlyn said, “The extra programmes really make Cronton special.” During her time at College, she gained a Crest Award in the Tomorrow’s Scientist Programme and was part of the Student Leadership Team.
