The Royal Navy and Royal Marines put Cronton Students to the Test
Uniform Services students at Cronton Sixth Form had an opportunity to test their skills last week when the Royal Navy and Royal Marines visited the College as part of a career guidance event.
During the day, the students participated in psychometric testing. The test they took forms part of the recruitment process the forces put all candidates through, and for the students that passed the test, their results stand for the next three years, if they decide to go into the forces once they have completed their course.
Sally Cartwright, Uniformed Services Tutor at Cronton Sixth Form said, “The students really enjoyed the careers talk and were able to gain a great insight in to a career in the armed forces.
“They all performed very well on the test. The skills they developed for the psychometric tests are transferable to all of the armed uniformed services so are a great way for students to focus and revise for their future applications for the services.”
