The Grammar Games Final 2024! π
It was a thrilling showdown at Cronton for the 4th annual Grammar Games league final! π
Four teams of talented students battled it out, showcasing their prowess in grammar and linguistic terminology. The atmosphere in the Conservatory was electric as spectators gathered to cheer on the teams.
The students looked to impress English tutor and competition creator Richard Turner, who delivered impeccable judging throughout, ensuring fairness and accuracy.
It was a brilliant performance by all of the teams, but there can only be one winner, and this year it is Leah Wimbleton of the Light Green Team (Green Team Alpha) who clinched victory with an impressive 27 points! Congratulations on bringing home the Grammar Games trophy!
Richard commented, “This has been a really good final, all four teams performed amazingly and should be very proud of their achievements. They really showcased the depth and extent of what they have learned at the college. The crowd were fantastic and really got into the spirt of the event, cheering, interacting and waving homemade signs. It was a record crowd, with a total of 41 spectators at final count – which is huge for a competition based around grammar and linguistic terminology!”
