Guests “Inspired” at Art and Fashion Exhibition
Creative students from the School of Art at Cronton Sixth Form last week demonstrated their fantastic talents at ‘Inspired’, the College’s annual art exhibition and fashion catwalk show.
The exciting two day event took place at Riverside College’s Centre Stage Theatre, with private and public viewings available, along with daytime visits from local schools to inspire the next generation of artists.
The show included 2D and 3D works, a ceramics installation, special effects make-up and masks, digital art, stunning photography, and graphics work from BTEC level 3/4 Art courses. Catwalk garments were also conceived by level 3 Fashion students, all alongside outstanding A Level Fine Art, Textiles, Graphics and Photography works.
Maxine Mealey, Head of School for Creative and Performing Arts, said, “Each year ‘Inspired’ requires the commitment, passion and dedication of every art student and staff member within Cronton School of Art, and they never fail to impress!
“The resulting exhibition was a powerful demonstration of outstanding skills, techniques, range and creative vision being developed in preparation for employment and higher education. It was wonderful to see the hundreds of people in attendance to support our students.”
