Premier League referee Chris Foy visits Cronton

Premier League referee Chris Foy recently visited Cronton Sixth Form College, to provide an inspirational talk about the roles and responsibilities of football referees, the major achievements in his career so far, and the characteristics needed to succeed in sport and education.

Ben Barton, Head of the Centre of Sporting Excellence at Cronton Sixth Form said, “As well as an outstanding academic experience, we always aim to give our Centre of Sporting Excellence students an outstanding industry experience; Chris’ talk was exactly that.

“It was a great opportunity for the students to listen to such an experienced, high profile and well respected sports professional talk about his achievements and the characteristics needed to succeed in any vocation. Our students were really motivated by what Chris said and have already been asking when he can come back.”

Chris is due to return to the College in the coming weeks to provide another talk with students.
